About the Spur Campus: The CSU System, along with its partners, is standing up three buildings focused on water, food and agriculture, animal health, and sustainability at CSU Spur at the National Western Center (NWC). Within the Spur buildings, CSU will conduct research and convene experts from around the globe; students of all ages will engage with science and technology, and have opportunities for exploratory learning, transforming their thinking about food, water, and health and the careers available in these fields. Partners will participate in programming the space and bring evolving content to the year-round campus. These facilities include laboratory space, classrooms, public education spaces, outdoor spaces, a flexible theater, a rooftop greenhouse and more! All three facilities are targeting LEED Gold, and their operations should reflect the state-of-the-art in sustainability and healthy building operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day interaction with CSU staff working at Spur, as well as external tenants
- Assist with the management and development of all property personnel
- Coordination of facility maintenance and cleaning issues and requests
- Distribute and follow up on work orders to appropriate staff
- Create a good working relationship with CSU teams and external tenants, understand their work and be able to proactively address any facilities issues/concerns
- Assist General Manager as necessary with warranty, repairs, tenant improvement and capital projects
- Assist General Manager with oversight of building operations contracts and vendors to maintain Class-A operations
- Assist with annual budget and year-end reconciliations
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of commercial or institutional real estate or property management experience
- Demonstrated experience assisting in the preparations of budgets, CAM reconciliations, perform numerical and financial calculations and other types of related financial reports
- Demonstrated experience with sustainable and healthy building operations including energy and water efficiency, waste diversion, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word
- Self-motivated and have excellent time management with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
